About

Aloha! My name is Jarzelle Dasalla.

I was born and raised on the big island of Hawai'i, in a little town called Hilo.

I live with my beautiful girlfriend that pushes me to be the best I can. She has her own YouTube channel (@mahearama) and loves to sing. I also have 4 fur-babies. Our two kitties and two pups.

In Sept 2017, I found a lost kitten in the middle of the road and took her home. We named her Mañava because she has a black patch of fur on her back resembling lungs. In Samoan it means 'breathe' and we felt like we gave her another chance at life. We adopted her little brother, Larry (named after my girlfriend's dad), in Dec 2017 so she wouldn't be lonely.

I ended up adopting the twins from the Humane Society in April 2018, whom we named Pudge and Poi (after a song called Fish and Poi) because they look like poi dogs. If you don't know what pudge is, its a reference in the movie Lilo and Stitch, "You can't give pudge tuna! It's an abomination!".

I came up with having a flower in my logo because my mom gave me a 50 letter Hawaiian middle name which represents the legend of the Naupaka flower.

I am the oldest of five, total of four girls and one boy. The second oldest is in college to become a Pediatrician. The middle child just married her Prince (his actual name; she took it literal when mom said "one day you'll find your prince") in May and graduated college in English literature in 2018. Our only brother is in Kamehameha High School and has a YouTube channel @ryzen d.  Lastly, our sassy baby sister is in elementary school.

We were raised by our never-stops-working Hawaiian, Filipino dad and big-hearted Samoan mom.

In September 2017, my mom had a stroke which had her sent to O'ahu to do rehab focusing on her speech and how to walk.

She's now back home, and can walk with assistance but her left hand still isn't budging; and thats where I come in.

I gave up my full-time job to take care of my mommy.

My photography business is pretty much all I have, and that's okay with me.

I love to learn, meet, and bond with clients because I'm passionate about what I do.

I worked a full time job out of high school and a few other jobs, but all of my 'Ohana encouraged me to keep doing what I love because they believe in me and think I have "The eye". I'm so happy I took their advice.

My photography journey actually started when I got ahold of my mom's razor flip phone back in the day. I've been taking pictures on my iPhone since then and finally decided to buy myself a canon rebel t7i in the middle of 2017.

Now here I am. Just a girl, with a canon camera and a dream.
